Wymount Terrace

Landon and I went to The Sound of Music, a community production that a coworker’s wife is in, on Saturday night.
It was fun; we brought Holden and he did so well—made it hard for those around us to watch the play because he was being so cute and smiling at everyone. After the play, we went to pick up a meat smoker from Landon’s friend Dan, who’s got 3 kids and lives in Provo. Landon then drives to Wymount Terrace, the apartments we first lived in for the first 6 months of our marriage. We started walking to the apartment where Dan lives, and I can’t help but reminisce as we walk around the buildings. We had such a blast there a few years ago. I remember thinking how it even smelled good as I was walking to the apartment. We get to his door and Landon knocks really loud and its 11:00 pm—I was so embarrassed. Then he pulls out a key, opens it, its empty inside and he says, “well, this is our apartment”. I didn’t really believe him at first, I really freaked out. It was a good surprise.

We’d talked about getting an apartment in Provo when Landon does his MBA but I’m glad Landon did it. The downside? Its not pet friendly so Jack’s staying here at our house in Pleasant Grove with Debbie. We’re just going to keep our house and live between that and our apartment when Landon does school, maybe do some work like redo the flooring here as well. We’ve been moving some stuff in,  a lot of stuff we needed for the apartment we just got at D.I, since we want to keep our house furnished as is. We’re renting furniture too for $20 a month as well there.

I’m so excited for our new adventure. We’ve met a couple neighbors already and they’re really nice, they tell us the ward is fantastic there. There’s a big park, motorcycle parking and the Laundromat right outside our front door. Its just fun to live in a BYU community of young married couples, and this is really our last chance to get that experience.  I’m especially excited to share it with our kids. I think they’re going to love it.

So here’s to the great/weird Cope housing experiment of 2013!
And here's some pictures of our previous Wymount experience:
(a little prank I played on Landon)
