The Sun in January

We like it when its finally warm enough to play outside again. The sun is shining, the tank is clean...

Today Mona and Holden and I went to the park. Mona twice, once just with Mama because Holden was sleeping. And out in the backyard, too. She was so excited, she wanted to do everything we do outside in the summer, which was great until she wanted to pull out our kiddie pool and fill it up. It was 33 degrees out. People probably think we're crazy but my kids are full-blooded Utahns now. If the sun is out, the snow is melting AND its above 30 degrees we are going for a freaking walk. AT LEAST.

Anyway, here are some pics from our fun Bear Lake trip we took with Erica and Scott last weekend:

Mona did this over and over again with the new-to-us toys already at the cabin and the bag Dad bought at DI for our vacation (just to give the kids enough to do). She loved to line her stuffed animals up and give them rides in the stroller. She loves to play pretend now. Like, full time. Everything we do is pretend. If we're eating, frosty (her fave friend at the moment) is eating too. If we're bathing, driving in the car, peeing on the potty, going down the slide, Frosty and ballerina (a creepy porcelain doll--also bought at DI) are doing it too. I kind of love it though.

And here's the cabin we--er--stayed at...We stayed at the one next to it, which was similar but slightly smaller. This one looked nicer so we snapped a picture next to it. We are a classy bunch.

As a part of his DI finds, Lando picked up like 6 pairs of toddler sunglasses. And these. The kids loved them all but these turned out to be bifocals and we threw them away. Oops!

And this is Bear Lake frozen over. I wish I had a lens that looked farther than this one shows. It was pretty.

We did a whole lot of hot-tubbing, which is a must in any cabin we rent.

We took a few (just a few though) walks in the cold with this cool wagon.

Mona piled every toy she could find on her Uncle Scott. He made a good chair for them.

Here are my cutie pies playing on the playground next to our cabin.

They are just so cute.

Holden never stopped eating.

And really, when you've got cute rolls like he's got why wouldn't you? If you got it, flaunt it.
